Apollo Electric
Since 1966 Apollo Electric has completed a variety of projects in the Electrical Contracting business across the greater Southern California area. In the early 1980’s, Apollo’s focus changed to larger projects, which included New High Schools, University Facilities, Research & Development Facilities, Post Offices, Gas Company Buildings, and Hospitals. During this time, we also began the development of our Design & Build Division, which has done several large-scale projects, including San Antonio Medical Office Building in Rancho Cucamonga, U.S. Post Office in Rancho Cucamonga, and Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion for the County of San Bernardino. Our certified AutoCAD draftsman heads this department. Our Design & Build Division utilizes the latest release of AutoCAD as well as other various electronic media and formats.
The decade of the 1990’s brought another wave of construction interests. Apollo Electric began to focus more on the “Specialty” Buildings, Parking Structures, Tenant Improvements, Distribution & Manufacturing Facilities, and High Tech Research & Development Facilities. In 2000, Apollo expanded into a new facility in Brea. Additional project management and CAD drafting capabilities allow us continued focus on these specialized projects and the ever-changing technology market. Green/Sustainable designs are the current market trend and Apollo has recently completed a few photo-voltaic projects, totaling over 2 Megawatts.
Apollo expanded our CAD facilities to include 3D BIM modeling to stay up with the trend in design coordination and pre-construction planning. 2013 brought about the single biggest change in the Industry in years, CA Title-24. Our staff of estimators and managers attended several work-shops and seminars to learn about the detailed intricacies of the new requirements. Apollo Electric completed certification from the State as a “Certified Installation Contractor” and an “Acceptance Test Employer” as accredited by California Advanced Lighting Control Training Program (CALCTP). With the implementation and enforcement of the new Title-24 requirements as of July 2014, Apollo is prepared to provide our customers with State-mandated certified technicians to insure the highest level of proficiency in lighting controls design, installation, and operation while maintaining cost efficiency and code compliance.
